Sevilla, 2016. We went as part of a large UK group to the Tumba y Tumbao festival. Sunshine and 38 degrees at the Hotel Iluna Alcora. After a lovely workshop I thanked the teacher, Joelson, on the way out. Somehow we ended up grabbing a couch, having a 4-hour chat.
We talked about anything and everything. Most importantly Joelson told me this truth; that much of dance, and life, is about finding rhythm. 5 years later I've found this to be true in Dance, Languages, Business, Running, and Daily routines. I will always, always, always, be grateful for that insight.
