Kizomba Identity

Writer: Steven FaseyikuSteven Faseyiku

It is such a joy to watch other dancers. Their footwork, graceful movements, and musicality. It all comes together to tell stories as much about the dancers as their song. Stories we can learn from. Frequently, this is just by picking up on new steps. Other times it is by the frame and posture within which the steps are done.

Still sometimes it is something less tangible. Something about the way they move, Ginga (energy) or Banga (suave). Observing these we can channel different people in our own dance experiences; a sort of passive homage to such wonderful dancers, for helping us find our Kizomba identity.
